Arc'teryx Women's Beta AR Jacket
You hike, you climb, you board, you walk your kids to school, and you hate three things: getting wet, being unprepared, and eating eggplant. The Arc'teryx Women's Beta AR Jacket solves the first two problems, but can't do much about the eggplant thing. As #2 in Arc'teryx's essential line, the Beta AR bears an uncanny resemblance to it's big sister, the Theta AR. Both jackets are sleek, all-weather and all-conditions beasts, but the big difference between the siblings is the Beta AR sports a higher hemline.
Just like the Theta AR, the Beta AR is made from N70p Gore-Tex Pro fabric and reinforced with tiny Gore-taped seams. Laminated zippers are icing on the cake, and in combination with the construction, offer you weatherproof protection from blinding snow, sideways rain storms, and even your toddler throwing apple juice your way. Precipitation is just one foe this jacket fends off. Gore-Tex Pro fabric is tightly woven to give you abrasion resistance without sacrificing breathability or adding unwanted weight.
The Beta AR is heavy on features that fit your active life. Laminated underarm vents open quickly and without hassle, and the underarm gussets give you the chance to move to the beat of your own drum without the entire jacket bunching up. The microsuede facing on the full collar protects your chin from chafing against the jacket in chilly temps, and the hood sports a laminated brim so the rain and sleet won't cloud your vision. Zipper garages offer another line of defense against wet weather, preventing precipitation (and wind) from creeping in between zipper teeth.
